What We Do
The Regional Hospice of Quinte Inc. assists
terminally ill patients and their caregivers by giving them
support and companionship during the patients' final stages
of life.
- Hospice Quinte provides palliative
care to terminally ill persons, and
support
to their caregivers, in the Belleville, Quinte West,
and South Hastings Region.
- This service is offered in the person's
own home or as a friendly visitor in area hospitals.
- Our trained, experienced, and compassionate
volunteers provide this care.
- There are no fees for
this service to our patients and their families. We are
a registered, non-profit, charitable organization and our
volunteers are the backbone of our program. We rely heavily
upon the donations we receive from families we have helped,
from within the communities we serve, and our own fundraising
activities.
- Volunteers are always needed to give patient
care, or help with fundraising. Please call,
fax, or e-mail us if you would like more information.
Referrals
- Referrals for in-home visits may come from
the patients themselves, their families and friends, Health
and Social Agencies, Physicians, Access Center, Clergy
or in general anyone who feels that the service is needed
for that particular person.
