- Hospice Quinte and the Bay of Quinte Yacht Club are hosting their 2nd Burrows Hospice Quinte Regatta on Saturday, June 5th at the Bay of Quinte Yacht Club. This will be a fun-filled day of sailing, Steak BBQ, raffle, silent auction and dancing. Live music will be provided by Big Black Smoke from 8pm until midnight. - Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner and Annual General Meeting , Mon. 21 June, 6pm at Christ Church Anglican. There will be a proposed amendment to by-law 5.1 at this meeting. - Remember: Your membership must be current to be able to vote at the AGM.
- The 21st Annual Quinte & Area Pharmacists Golf Tournament is being held Wednesday, June 16th at Trillium Wood Golf Club and they are kindly once again, donating the proceeds of this tournament to Hospice Quinte. Registration is 11:00am – 12:30pm with a Shotgun start at 1:00pm. Your entry fee of $125.00 includes 18 holes of golf, electric cart, dinner and prize table. group meets the third Thursday of each month
at 2:00pm at Eastminster Church.
- Volunteer Support Group meetings
are held the second Thursday of each month at 10:30am
at Eastminster
Church.
- In the news: Hospice Quinte has been awarded Level 1 and Level 2 Accreditations from the Hospice Association of Ontario, as of March 2010.

Bioniche
Life Sciences Inc. (TSX:BNC), a research based, technology
driven Canadian biopharmaceutical company, together with Hospice
Quinte,
an incorporated non-profit charitable organization with a mandate
to assist terminally ill patients and their caregivers, have
entered into
a partnership to establish the “Bioniche Hospice Quinte Centre”.
The
centre is utilized for palliative care programs, bereavement
services,
educational opportunities for the community, and future day programs
for the terminally ill. Our doors opened July 27th, 2009 at
225 Dundas St., E., Belleville, K8N 1E2, and we welcome everyone
to visit our beautiful
new home.
